Studio artists and craftspeople have long understood the value of exploring materials, engaging in sustained practice, and putting the objects they make into action in the world. In contemporary times, the medium of video offers an exciting and powerful tool for exploring these and other concepts, in direct conversation with a wide variety of viewers. Intended for studio artists and craftspeople who are unfamiliar with the use of video, the workshop will cover the basics of shooting, editing, and processing video. Students will make and present one-minute long videos over the course of the workshop, and will gain the tools to continue to explore this exciting medium. No experience necessary.
