It’s that wonderful time of year again when we welcome a new class of artists to the Windgate Arts Residency Program in Wood (WARP Wood)! This one-of-a-kind arts residency is a destination for artists and researchers from all over the world who are seeking a deeper connection with the material of wood while testing their vision and skill in a collaborative setting.
Will you make a gift to WARP Wood today?
Support the Windgate Arts Residency Program in Wood
Help us meet our $30,000 goal to support our 2023 cohort of Fellows. Every donation, no matter the amount, makes a difference. Here are a few examples of how your contribution can impact the program:
- $250: Provides materials for an artist to experiment and explore new techniques.
- $500: Supports travel to and from the residency as well as field trips for the artists to explore Philadelphia’s cultural scene.
- $1,000: Supports the cost of a stipend to each Fellow, easing their financial burdens and allowing them to focus on their craft.
- $2,500 +: Underwrites exhibition costs and includes a naming opportunity at the 2023 WARP Residency Exhibition.
This year’s international cohort represents four countries—Argentina, Canada, Japan, and the US. Together, they represent a broad range of approaches and techniques: from lathe turning and carving, to sculpture, architecture, and kineticism. We are thrilled to be able to host these artistic powerhouses in Philadelphia this summer!
