Join us in Old City for the Shopping Sip & Stroll on Saturday, December 7! This district-wide event is the perfect way to kick off your holiday season with exclusive discounts and specials at participating stores — just look for the balloons. As you stroll, stop to sip on seasonal cocktails, hot chocolate, and more from local bars and restaurants. Plus, be one of the first shoppers to score a free Old City tote bag when you make a purchase from participating businesses (while supplies last).

The Museum for Art in Wood will offer hot cider, a free holiday craft table, and guided tours of our current exhibition, Mark Sfirri: La Famiglia.

3rd Street from Market to Arch will also be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic from 12-5 p.m. Event goers can enjoy an open street and stroll car-free space while enjoying shopping, dining, and entertainment. Old City District will provide ambient entertainment, including acoustic musicians, strolling performers, surprise snow showers, and more.

Locals throughout Old City District will boast various activations, events, and specials. From Elfreth’s Alley’s annual “Deck the Alley” fundraiser and the Betsy Ross House’s “Historic Holiday Open House” to the premiere of “Peter Pan” at Arden Theatre Company, the neighborhood will be full of seasonal celebrations.
