Join us for a FREE hands-on experience creating your very own toothpick sculpture. This project is inspired by the current exhibition, FLOE: A Climate of Risk | The Fictional Archaeology of Stephen Talasnik. Stephen Talasnik has built an artistic career by exploring the links between drawing and building. FLOE features an immersive and mesmerizing installation by Talasnik that is simultaneously local and universal, illustrated in wood, bamboo, and composite materials. The exhibition also includes works from the Museum’s permanent collection, curated by Talasnik and selected to represent the remnants of a lost world. Be inspired by the work in the exhibition and create your own masterpiece!
The Museum for Art in Wood interprets, nurtures, and champions creative engagement and expansion of art, craft, and design in wood to enhance the public’s understanding and appreciation of it. A suggested donation of $5 per person enables us to provide programs and exhibitions throughout the year.
