Notes: The more recent piece, "Trapezoids #2," from the Soft Geometry Series, revisits the earlier piece, in a way. The techniques employed are similar, but are applied instead to create a group of geometric forms which are then shaped by the turning process. The resulting forms, no longer rectilinear, are more like the unique geometries that we find in the natural world. The pattern and the forms interact with each other, and their relationships change with one's vantage point.
