Notes: As I look back upon the piece I created for the “Personal Hang-Ups” exhibition in 2012 and my most recent work, it interests me to see the common themes and intents. In creating the piece for the exhibition it was important to me for it to have a presence but also an absence, and a piece that is an answer but also a question. I find these types of tension and opposition an important tool to activate the energy within a piece.
