Notes: This piece was for the Robin Wood "Cores" exhibit. I, along with a number of other wood artists, was given a small wood "core" of the sort that is frequently left over in UK bodger Robin Wood’s shop during his bowl-turning process. We were asked to make it our own. Most of my work is quite large and this "core" was small so I enlarged it by adding wood to the center to make it into a tall vessel of the kind that I'm known for. But it was still only about 10” tall, compared to most of my vessels which are in the 3-6 foot tall range.
