In the theme of thinking inside the box, I focused on the things in my work that you can only see up closely. The seam-lines, tone variation of the wood, different angles of the grain-directions and etc. Myself being the creator of my work, I am more aware of these details than others that I often explain these to the audience or other artists. However, whenever I have the opportunity to become the viewer for other artist’s work, I enjoy following the trace of these makers marks, as if I am the geologist analyzing a landform sample in order to figure out what happened in the past or how the earth formed itself. I can point these subtle details out, only when you’re thinking inside the box.
