You may already be an Evergreen Society member. The Evergreen Society is the Center’s legacy group and consists of donors who have included The Center for Art in Wood in their estate plans/planned giving. There is no minimum amount and no required method. If the Center has been named as a beneficiary in your plan\, you are a member. Artist Jessica Eldredge will lead a workshop exploring the possibilities of color and design to express your love to someone special by creating small works of art. Enjoy light refreshments\, wine\, and music while you craft your heart out. DESCRIPTION:2022 Windgate International Residency Open Studio Day\, in memory of Lee Bender |\nSaturday\, July 9th| 10:00 am – 3:30 pm |\nNextFab\, 1800 North American Street\, Philadelphia\nTo register click HERE. \nThe public is invited into the Windgate International Residents’ shop for discussion surrounding their work as part of the 2022 Windgate International Residency Program. This event will take place at NextFab located at 1800 North American Street\, Philadelphia\, PA 19122\, on Saturday\, July 9\, 2022\, from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm. This event is an opportunity to meet the resident fellows and hear about their concepts and works in progress\, whether in wood\, film\, writing or other documentation. \nThis summer marks the 25th year that the Center has sponsored the international residency program. The Resident Fellows live\, travel\, and work independently and collaboratively in an intensive\, 8-week program from June 13 through August 5\, 2022. Typical activities include visits to local and regional museums and public and private collections of art. The residency culminates in an exhibition of their artwork\, opening Friday\, August 5th. The evening will begin with a gallery talk by the Resident Fellows followed by a reception. Sponsored and programmed by The Center for Art in Wood\, and hosted by our partner NextFab\, the residency encourages research\, discussions\, studio work\, experiments\, and collaborations. \n$25 for entry and lunch \n*Note: Students pay only $15 for entry and lunch–a valid student ID must be shown at entry.
